Giselda Ranieri

Giselda Ranieri is a dancer and choreographer specialised in Science of Performance and Multimedia Production/Live Performing Arts and in instant composition. She is a guest lecturer at the Brera Academy, Alma Artis and CCNN in Nantes. Known for her kaleidoscopic expressions and an ironic look at what we define as ‘reality’, her innate curiosity has driven her over the years to also deal with the digital format and technology brought back to everyday life.

Over the years, fundamental have been her encounters with Katie Duck, Julyen Hamilton for instant composition, with Dominique Dupuy for the poetry of gesture and with Cosmin Manolescu with whom she collaborated on the three-year European project E-MOTIONAL Rethinking Dance and the US and European tour of the show Fragile.

Dancer since 2010 and then ALDES author since 2015, she collaborates with choreographers, directors, musicians including Ambra Senatore, P.Greenaway, Giuliano Scarpinato, Sandro Mabellini, Michele Rabbia, John de Leo.

She develops an anthropological approach to choreographic creation: she is attracted by the possibility of the body and voice to transform and transcend their form in a continuous game that questions their meanings.
