Maia Joseph (she/her) is a Canadian born dance artist based in Europe between Milan and Berlin. Since 2020, she has been freelancing, collaborating with artists such as Cristina Perera (BR), Kiani Del Valle (PR), and Salvatore Siciliano (IT).
Her passion for film has led her to work under the direction of Katharina Hingst (PR/GR), Philipp Groth (DE), and academy award winner Robbie Ryan (IRL). Her work can be seen in The Severed Tail, a short film which premiered in 2022’s Venice Biennale, and music videos for various artists such as Lena Meyer-Landrut and Herbert Grönemeyer.
Besides working on her own choreographic material, she has on-going collaborations with artists Marie Zechiel (DE), Christoph Winkler (DE), and the company Perypezye Urbane (Giovanni Sabelli Fioretti (IT) and Giuseppe Esposito (IT)).
